Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains how Redline — Text Diff & Restore for Jira ("Redline", "the app"), provided by Kenan İslamoğlu ("we"), handles data.
Summary
- Redline runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform and makes no calls to any server outside Atlassian.
- Redline stores no data: no database, no Forge storage, no content logs, no analytics, no tracking, no cookies.
- We, the developer, cannot see your Jira data.
What the app reads and writes
When a user opens the Text history tab, the app reads, as that user and through Jira's own permission checks: the issue's change history, the list of fields, the current value of the Description or paragraph field, and whether the user can edit the issue. This data is processed in memory to show the comparison and is discarded when the request ends. When the user confirms a restore, the app writes the chosen earlier text back into that field of that issue, as that user.
Permissions requested: read:jira-work and write:jira-work. The app does not request access to user profiles,
email addresses or any other Atlassian product.
Where data is processed
All processing happens inside Atlassian's cloud, where Atlassian runs your site and Forge apps. No data is transferred to us or to third parties.
Support requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to answer you, keep it no longer than needed (at most 24 months), and never sell or share it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Because the app stores no personal data, there is nothing for us to export or delete from the app. For data held in Jira, contact your Jira site administrator or Atlassian. Questions about this policy: redline@kenanislamoglu.com.
Changes
We will update this page and its date if the app's data handling changes.
